Summer of 1965. Robert Kincaid drives through the heat and dust of Iowa. As a photographer for National Geographic he is searching for the special, old bridges of Madison County.
At the farm of Francesca Johnson he stops to ask the way. Francesca shows him which way to go and this is the start of their romance.
